Terms of Service

Effective October 27, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and SpareCall LLC ("SpareCall", "we", "us"). By using SpareCall you agree to them.

The service

SpareCall is an AI receptionist that answers only the calls your business misses. It works through conditional call forwarding that you turn on with your phone carrier or business phone system: your phone rings first, and calls are forwarded to your SpareCall number only when they go unanswered, are declined, reach a busy line, or can't reach your phone (for example, when it's off or has no signal). Calls you answer are not handled by SpareCall. Forwarding behavior, including how many rings occur before forwarding, is controlled by your carrier or phone system, and we can't guarantee it works the same on every carrier.

When SpareCall answers, it takes the caller's details and sends you a summary by text and/or email. You also get an online dashboard (signed in by an emailed link) with your call log, summaries, recordings, settings and billing. To set up your receptionist, we may review your business website and draft a script for your approval. AI can make mistakes, so please review summaries and call customers back to confirm details.

Not an emergency service

SpareCall is not an emergency service and does not replace 911. If a caller says their call is urgent, SpareCall flags it and attempts to alert you promptly, but we do not dispatch anyone, respond on your behalf, or guarantee that any alert is delivered or received within any time. Callers who describe a life-threatening emergency are told to hang up and call 911.

You are solely responsible for responding to your callers, including urgent ones, and for any commitments you make to your customers about availability or response times.

Plans, trial and billing

Your SpareCall number after cancellation

Your SpareCall number is assigned to you for use with the service. After you cancel, we hold the number for 30 days in case you come back, and then release it, after which it may be reassigned. When you cancel, you are responsible for turning off call forwarding on your phone line (we'll send you the code). Calls forwarded after the number is released may not be answered.

Your responsibilities

You must have the right to forward the phone lines you connect, review and approve your receptionist's script, respond to your callers, use the service lawfully, and give any notices to your callers that the law requires. Don't use SpareCall to send spam or unlawful messages.

SMS terms

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive service text messages from SpareCall, such as call summaries, urgent call alerts, trial reminders, and account notices.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle mobile information. We never sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent for marketing.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable but can't guarantee every call will be answered or every message delivered. To the extent allowed by law, SpareCall is not liable for lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will post changes here. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
